Training Balance and Brains

Session Type:
If you ask any older adult what they fear losing as they age most will say their balance and their cognitive ability. i.e.Having a fall and/or developing dementia. This session will unpick what you need to know as an older adult trainer to help reduce the risk of falls in this cohort but also to help keep their brains as sharp as possible. This is an 80% practical session so you will come away with drills and exercises you can put into practice immediately.

• Dynamic vs static balance training
• Building confidence around balance
• Practical balance exercises
• Common cognitive impairment issues
• Brain training drills
