Motivation for you so you can motivate others

Session Type:
As a fitness professional, you’re expected to motivate others with your happiness, enthusiasm and passion for helping your clients achieve their goals. However, you’re neurochemically not designed to be “on” all the time, so sometimes life can hinder our ability to motivate others as much as we’d like. if you’ve been training people long enough, you will know that your external to work life can influence your ability to be upbeat and encouraging. You may have actually experienced a client asking you if “you’re ok!”. In this session, we will identify the causes of a drop in motivation and dive into a system of awareness that can help you mitigate the highs and lows of your own motivation on the job so you can help motivate others in their physical activity journey.

Learning Outcomes:
• Understand the neurochemicals and their roles that create happiness.
• Learn that motivation is a waning resource and that where we “spend” costs us motivation in other aspects of our life.
• Discover a system of recognition to understand when we’re coming into a low point and take steps to mitigate the depth of the low.
