Experiential Training: How to Design & Deliver Effective Education

Session Type:
Think about the memories that stand out in your mind. The ones that flow into your head almost effortlessly.

Chances are you are remembering experiences that you had in the past. The first thing you may remember is a powerful emotion – how you felt. Happiness, sadness, excitement…

Remembering the experience allows you to start remembering the details – where you were, who you were with, what you were doing etc.

Information alone gets easily forgotten. Experiences stick in the mind for years to come.

A lot of education is delivered with the sole focus being on the information itself. As a result, students, clients or colleagues usually walk away from it with more questions than answers.

If you want to start delivering effective education you need to pivot your focus to the experience.

In this 60-minute session, we’ll explore how you can use learning science to create experiences that prioritise engagement, retention & application.

Learning Outcomes:
• Learn the 6 pillars of learning experience design.
• How to plan & prepare your training specifically for your audience.
• How to capture their attention by creating as many of the “Big 4” mental states; curiosity, motivation, focus & alertness.
• How to structure your Training to maintain audience focus & attention throughout.
• How to deliver the information in a multi-sensorial way; so that it appeals to everyone.
• How to facilitate effective & meaningful practice.
