The Fascial System – Be UP on The Body’s Design

Session Type:
Learn how fascia plays a role in every aspect of our body’s functioning and health. Fascia offers structural support and integrity for our posture as well as our movements. Fascia is our most sensory organ and also plays a role in proprioception, communication, physiological functioning and our body’s quest for homeostasis.

Understand the body from a fascial perspective where everything is interconnected and working in symbiotic relationship. Consider how our injuries, compensation patterns, scars & adhesions affect our whole body which can cause dysfunction in unexpected ways. Learn how myofascial release and working with scars and adhesions is a very effective approach to releasing fascial restrictions creating space in the body, glide-ability between structures, reducing pain, realigning posture, improving joint function and so much more.

This course is for anyone who wants to understand the fascial system role in the body, novice or intermediate level.

Learning Outcomes:
• Understand the fascial system’s role in anatomy, function & movement
• Learn about fascia’s role in communication & physiology
• Fascia is the body’s most sensory organ
• Understand how fascial restrictions cause limitations in body movement, function & resiliency
• Learn how scars & adhesions can cause issue in a multitude of ways
• Learn how myofascial release techniques create space & glide-ability enhancing muscle function & capability.
