You know them, you love them and of course you program them. The squat is a ubiquitous movement that we see in may different formats in the fitness industry. In fact many people have so many beliefs around this exercise that they may happily “fight” for the technique that they believe in. During the session we will explore and simplify what this movement pattern is and give you the tools to help you help your clients understand their active range of motion and impart the skill of the “squat” to their body and brain. This session may just change the way you look at and coach this movement pattern.
Learning Outcomes
1. Simplify the various squat exercises into a movement pattern-based approach.
2. Understand how to create awareness of what should be mobile and stable which leads to technique identification.
3. Apply various squat techniques to map the squat to the brain and tissue not just load it up.
