Crossing Over

In this session we will look at the importance of performing contralateral movement activities. Often under-utilised, contralateral movements are great for skeletal muscle fibre for sure, but, they’re also highly important for our brains and long term functional capacity. In this session we will look at why performing contralateral activities are a vital cog in your movement programming.

Learning Outcomes
1. Look at why contralateral activities are important for stimulating the brain.
2. Understand how contralateral exercises can aid daily function.
3. Learn when to impose contralateral exercises into a client’s session.
