Group Dynamics in Action

Session Type:
In this session, participants will learn how to make their dance classes dynamic by engaging students in group participation. We’ll explore techniques such as rotating students from facing the instructor to participating in group fitness dance battles. These strategies will help break the mold of a typical fitness session, lift the spirit of the class, promote a sense of community, and ensure everyone has fun.

What you can expect:
– Introduction to Dance Formats (5 mins):
Briefly explain the battle, circle, and two rows dance formats.
– Warm-Up (5 mins):
Dynamic stretches and light cardio exercises to prepare your body.
– Introduction to Group Dynamics (15 mins):
Learn and practice basic dance moves to enhance dance class.
– Two Rows Dance (10 mins):
Split into two rows for a call-and-response dance routine.
– Dance Battle (10 mins):
Split into two teams to showcase routines or freestyle moves in a friendly battle.
– Circle Dance/ cool down (10 mins):
Finish with static stretches and deep breathing to relax in a circle, taking turns leading and following moves.
– Conclusion (5 mins)

Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just starting out, this workshop is a great opportunity to improve your skills while having fun with others.
